4 Things to Do in Clarksville This Weekend (May 16-17, 2026)

If you are new to Clarksville or have lived here your whole life, this weekend is packed with reasons to get out and enjoy our community. Whether you are house-hunting and want to get a feel for the lifestyle, or you are a long-time local looking for something fun with the family, here are four standout events happening across town May 16 and 17, 2026.

Bill Hoy Kiwanis Rodeo – Final Night

The 37th annual Bill Hoy Kiwanis Rodeo wraps up its run this Saturday, May 16. The action kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at 1921 Rossview Road, with top competitors in bull riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, and more.

When: Saturday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. | Where: 1921 Rossview Road, Clarksville | Cost: $25 for ages 13+, $15 for ages 2–12.

Rossview is one of Clarksville’s most sought-after areas, and a night at the rodeo is the perfect way to scope out the neighborhood. If you have been eyeing homes near Rossview schools or the new development off Tylertown Road, plan to head over a little early and drive the area.

Gathering of Eagles – Helicopter Display and Rides

The 2/17th Air Cavalry, hosted by Sky Soldiers, is bringing static displays of military helicopters and ground vehicles to Clarksville Regional Airport, plus a mobile military museum inside the terminal. The biggest draw: you can actually book a ride in a Vietnam-era Bell UH-1 Huey or Bell AH-1 Cobra.

When: Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. | Where: Clarksville Regional Airport | Cost: Free admission; helicopter rides available for a fee.

For our military families and PCS movers from Fort Campbell, this is one of those quintessentially Clarksville weekends. It is also a great reminder of why so many service members put down roots here long after their assignment ends.

Who’s Bad – The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute

Kick the weekend off Friday night with one of the country’s top Michael Jackson tribute bands, Who’s Bad, taking over Downtown Commons. Bring a lawn chair, grab a bite from the food trucks, and enjoy a free concert in the heart of downtown.

When: Friday, May 15, 7–10 p.m. | Where: Downtown Commons, 215 Legion St. | Cost: Free.

Downtown Commons is the beating heart of Clarksville’s revitalized downtown, and free concerts here are one of the best windows into the lifestyle buyers love. Walkable cafes, breweries, and the riverfront are all just steps away.

The Music Man JR.

For families with younger kids, catch the youth production of The Music Man JR.—a 60-minute version of the classic Broadway tale of fast-talking salesman Harold Hill and librarian Marian.

When: Saturday, May 16 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. | Where: Clarksville (check ClarksvilleNow.com for venue details) | Cost: Varies—see organizer for tickets.

Live local theater is a small-town gem that surprises a lot of buyers moving from bigger cities. If arts and culture are a priority for your family, ask about neighborhoods close to the Roxy Regional Theatre and Austin Peay’s performing arts venues.
